The film follows the lives of Daniel Collins and Quincy Bryant, two African American men living in rural Alabama, over the course of five years. Daniel pursues a college degree while Quincy becomes a parent. Ross’s keen photographic eye is on display in this documentary, as he examines how the idea of race impacts the lives of Black people in the American South.
